Dose calculator · Paracetamol (acetaminophen)
Every weight from 5 to 40 kg, in milligrams and in millilitres according to the strength of your bottle. Fixed table from the AEPap dosing guide — no AI. Always check the strength printed on your own bottle: it changes by country and by presentation.
Not every bottle of paracetamol (acetaminophen) is the same. Panado Paediatric has 24 mg/ml; Panadol Children, sold in the same country, has 100 mg/ml. With the same millilitres, one gives 4.2 times the dose of the other.
For a 10 kg child (150 mg):
⚠️ Before measuring, look at how many mg per ml the box says. It is the most common way to get a dose wrong at home.
Every 4–6 hours, and never more doses in 24 hours than the last column says.

⚠️ The grey rows are below the minimum weight for Paracetamol (acetaminophen): do not give it without medical advice. Under 3 months, no medicine without a prescription.
The guide publishes a band of 10–15 mg/kg per dose. This table uses 15 mg/kg: it is the dose the published daily maximum is built from, and the one the manufacturers' leaflets give. A lower dose within the band is also correct.
Under 3 months, only if a doctor has told you to. Do not combine with other products that also contain paracetamol (cold remedies).

The dose goes by weight, never by age alone. For Panado Paediatric:
Every 4–6 hours. For a child of 15 kg that is at most 4 doses in 24 hours.
Age is not enough: two children of the same age can be several kilos apart, and this dose is calculated per kilo. Weigh the child, or ask at the pharmacy. PediBot will not give a figure from age alone.
Under 3 months, only if a doctor has told you to. Do not combine with other products that also contain paracetamol (cold remedies).
