Apiretal dose calculator by weight

Every weight from 5 to 40 kg, in milligrams and in millilitres according to the strength of your bottle. Fixed table from the AEPap dosing guide — no AI. Always check the strength printed on your own bottle: it changes by country and by presentation.

Apiretal 100 mg/ml or Termalgin 24 mg/ml: not the same thing

Not every bottle of paracetamol (acetaminophen) is the same. Apiretal has 100 mg/ml; Termalgin, sold in the same country, has 24 mg/ml. With the same millilitres, one gives 4.2 times the dose of the other.

For a 10 kg child (150 mg):

⚠️ Before measuring, look at how many mg per ml the box says. It is the most common way to get a dose wrong at home.

Every 4–6 hours, and never more doses in 24 hours than the last column says.

⚠️ The grey rows are below the minimum weight for Paracetamol (acetaminophen): do not give it without medical advice. Under 3 months, no medicine without a prescription.

The guide publishes a band of 10–15 mg/kg per dose. This table uses 15 mg/kg: it is the dose the published daily maximum is built from, and the one the manufacturers' leaflets give. A lower dose within the band is also correct.

Under 3 months, only if a doctor has told you to. Do not combine with other products that also contain paracetamol (cold remedies).

What parents ask about Apiretal

How much Apiretal for a child of 10, 15 or 20 kg?

The dose goes by weight, never by age alone. For Apiretal:

How often, and how many times a day?

Every 4–6 hours. For a child of 15 kg that is at most 4 doses in 24 hours.

What if I don't know what the child weighs?

Age is not enough: two children of the same age can be several kilos apart, and this dose is calculated per kilo. Weigh the child, or ask at the pharmacy. PediBot will not give a figure from age alone.

From what age can Apiretal be given?

Under 3 months, only if a doctor has told you to. Do not combine with other products that also contain paracetamol (cold remedies).

The same medicine under other names

In Spain, this is also sold as Termalgin, Gelocatil, and Efferalgan. Different box, same molecule and the same dose per kilo — what changes is the strength printed on the bottle, so always read it.

Sold in Spain.
