What PediBot is — and is not

PediBot is an information service for parents and caregivers. It summarises published paediatric guidelines and shows the documents it draws on. It is not medical advice, it does not diagnose, and it does not replace your paediatrician, nurse or emergency services. Always seek professional care for a sick child, and in an emergency call your local emergency number.

The guidelines quoted belong to their authors (scientific societies, public health bodies). PediBot links the originals and does not claim their endorsement.

Privacy

• You do not need an account. Everything here works without one, and without one we never ask you for personal data and you should not type any.
• If you do create one, we keep your e-mail, a hash of your password (never the password itself) and whatever you write about your children: name, date of birth, sex, country and the measurements you note. It lives in a database separate from the anonymous one described below, it is used to answer by your child's age and to draw their growth curve, and it is never sold, shared or used for advertising.
• You can download everything or delete the account from your own page, whenever you like and without asking us. Deleting deletes: the children, the measurements and the sessions go with it.
• The occasional e-mail about PediBot is a separate tick box, off unless you turn it on, and every message carries a one-click link to stop it.
• Your questions and PediBot's answers are stored anonymously (a random session token, no IP address) to evaluate and improve answer quality. Conversation memory lasts 24 hours.
• Your IP address is used only as a salted hash for rate limiting and is not stored in clear.
• Your browser keeps a session token, your country choice and the night-mode setting locally. No advertising trackers.
• Shared answers (the "copy link" button) are public pages containing only the question and the answer. They are not indexed by search engines, and whoever shared one can remove it from the page itself, at any time.
• On Telegram we store your chat id so the bot can reply and, very rarely, send a notice about PediBot. Send /stop to receive none; you can keep asking questions.
• To write the answer, your question is sent to the company whose language model drafts it, DeepSeek, which processes and stores it in China, outside the European Union, under its own terms (which allow it to use what it receives to improve its models). It goes without your account data and without your IP address, but with whatever you type — one more reason not to write names or other personal details in the chat.
